For this lesson, students will be programming their robots to trace the path the food gets processed in the digestive system. Students will learn more efficiently through hands-on experiences, they are able to learn through robots and coding by having their robots travel by a path outlined by the instructor, on the floor. The visual of the system will help students attain the important components of what was taught by the teacher more accurately at the same time challenge them to think critically and work collaboratively with their peers in order to figure out what path the robot should take to accomplish the task.
I would definitely use this lesson plan in my future teaching practice because this lesson allows students to gain awareness about the human digestive system. This lesson introduces students to the main parts of the digestive system and how they interact. It is important for students to explore the needs of the human body by explaining the importance of good health in relationship to the body; understand the functions and care of the human body and its organs.
